Lucky

This brave little kitten is only 2 months old and yet she has already suffered too greatly such a short lifetime. She was bit by dog and found lying on the street by a medical student in Varna, Bulgaria. The little kitty, called Lucky, had suffered multiple fractures, including a torn abdominal wall and a dislocated lumbar spine and her hind legs were at the time paralyzed. The funds needed were 400 euro.

At first there was no hope for little Lucky, as we didn’t see how we could find the money. Lucky was paralyzed, in shock and her chances were low. She had just opened her eyes and already she was brought into a world of pain, fear and possibly, death.

But then she started to show improvement. Life was flowing back into her. Surrounded by the love and care of the people that found her, Lucky was starting to recover from the shock. She was standing up, eating and using the kitty litter on her own. She was purring all the time when we petted her on the tummy and was incredibly warm and affectionate. The doctor said, that she will probably walk again although she still uses her front legs to move.

She needs a neurosurgical operation and an abdominal operation and the doctor was optimistic about her recovery. She may be able to walk again and live in a warm and kind home, never to suffer the horrors of the street again! We all want to see her walk, play and live a life without pain and fear! The funds that are needed for her recovery and operation are 400 euro. After she recovers she will live in a proper home.

Let’s give her a second life!
