S.O.S: an Indonesian-Croatian family in deep financial hardship due to COVID-19 needs your help

Hi,
I have been in media, magazine and creative industry for the last 18 years.
Since 2009 in Bali, as the main photographer, owner and creative force behind the EYE CON Photography Bali team, servicing hundreds of wedding couples, families on vacation, dozens of villa owners, magazines and brands.

People who were our clients know that we have always put so much passion and sincerity into every interaction, every person, every event, and every image, album or video that we ever delivered.

Like any other business, we’ve had ups and downs, we had good years, we had bad years, but there were never years like these few, in absolute silence and hibernation.

I always paid all my debts, bills, school for 2 children, insurance and taxes, because I work hard in a business I love.

In year 2020 and 2021, despite the best efforts, I emptied all my savings, was robbed twice of my computer and camera equipment, and forced to sell all my lenses (this year), meaning almost all equipment I had and used for years, just to survive through the pandemic.

Unfortunately, that wasn’t enough to keep the family (with 2 kids) life and medical insurance that I previously kept paying for 10 full years! Suddenly, it was all gone with the wind. Until this moment, we managed to escape the deadly virus, while having no insurance or savings in case of any sickness of ANY family member.

And just like you, I don’t want my kids to suffer or perish unnecessarily, just because I cannot provide or try to protect them.

Our bank accounts are dry, and we have accumulated debt (few school bills, government medical insurance, couple of months late loan payments, rent) and at the same time no proper, even minimum equipment needed to offer professional services like before, when Bali is now finally slowly opening, and people are coming.

Before we drown further, and lose all the remaining assets we have (laptop from 2012, an old electric guitar, one camera body without lenses, vehicle, kids at school), I am turning to you, if you can help with a small donation to prevent the bigger disaster than we already experienced during these two years of absolute hibernation and hardship.

I never felt comfortable asking foe help, unless I am truly cornered and stuck, because before the pandemic I was used to resolving these things by myself, through this once successful, but currently dead wedding photography business.
So I am publishing this hoping that some of you can help, and at the same time with a heavy heart.

The finds we collect will be used entirely:
-to pay the most urgent, essential bills and debt (1000 USD), which I have to collect in asap to avoid property seizure
-to reactivate the cheapest available, basic government insurance for my kids and myself (800 USD)
-if anything will remain, I will use it to buy the minimum necessary non branded lenses and other basic camera/computer equipment so I can work and earn money again, support my family and my kid’s future by doing what I do best

If you have any opportunity to help or share this, please don’t hesitate, because every penny counts, as it gets us closer to the goal which is simply having a normal life (somewhere to stay, kids at school some basic medical insurance, paid bills, basic tools and equipment for work)
