Ruth First: political activist, thinker, writer, Jeppe Old Girl, anti-apartheid heroine.

The Jeppe Fiesta is a celebration of the Jeppe community's musical talent, profiling the staff and girls of Jeppe Girls together with the Jeppe Pipe Band.

Funds raised go to the Ruth First Jeppe Memorial Scholarship Programme which offers support to develop young women into principled leaders who will make a significant difference in South Africa. We currently have 19 alumnae studying at a range of tertiary institutions in South Africa, and 55 girls attending Jeppe Girls - see some profiles of our girls on the links below.

Help us to stage this Fiesta in 2018 - your sponsorship will bring the orchestra to the stage of the Linder Auditorium to support our Jeppe performers. Sponsor the violins, violas, cellos, double basses; the flute, oboes, clarinet, and bassoons; the horns, trumpets, trombones, percussion players, keyboard and bass guitar. Any contribution will make a difference and help us to bring this to the stage.
