Ruskin Mill Trust successfully provides innovative and integrated specialist day and residential provision for young people (16-25) who need focused expertise and practical solutions to engage fully in their lives.The Trust’s Practical Skills Therapeutic Education method is a holistic and creative approach that meets young people’s needs through ambitious and appropriate challenges. 97% of students complete their course and 95% succeed in achieving recognised qualifications. Whether in our workshops, classrooms and farms or through our therapeutic arts and cultural programmes, students develop communication, social, living and work skills through an exciting curriculum with meaningful real-life learning activities and vocational training. Combined with our integrated residential provision, which enables a differentiated progression of support from households to training flats, our students progress onto greater independence, further education and employment.Our colleges, ranked Good to Outstanding by Ofsted, offer over 300 places to young people with complex learning, emotional and behavioural difficulties, mental health issues and ASD, including Asperger’s Syndrome.
