Love andCare Foundation is a legally registered charity organization with new innovation to help eliminate poverty in Ghana.

Isn’t Ghana developing Country rich with natural resources (gold, diamond, alluminium, bauxite timber)? Why are there poor people? And some seems to be trapped in the poverty cycle from generation to generation, WHY? There is no one easy answer for these questions. It may range from lack of opportunities, education, mind set and structural oppression to systematic poverty. Hence poverty alleviation may require both community development as well as advocacy in policies and structural change. There will be no lasting change if the individual does not truly desire or own the change process.

That is why love and care foundation, a legally registered charitable organization is desire to serve the needy, the poor and people with special needs irrespective of religion and ethnicity by empowering communities for a longer term sustainability development through the wholistic mission of Christ. The people of Ghana Ekura lack all the basic needs (school, water, electricity, road, good shelter, and all the basic needs you can think of). The only source of livelihood is peasant farming. Maize and peanut is the only reliable cash crop, which they cultivate 1 acre of cash crop. Although the communities has over 5,000 acres of farmland. After harvest of the cash crop half is sold at the Ejura Market, the third biggest market in Ghana. The rest is left for family consumption till the next farming season (August- November). The only source of water that serves the communities is a stream call yaayaa. Children of School going age assist their parents in farming because of lack of school building.
