Campaign Story
On the 6th March 2017, my best friend Ash was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of breast cancer - just 3 weeks shy of her 31st birthday.
Whilst Ash holds private medical insurance in South Africa, it is not nearly sufficient to cover the cost of her equally as aggressive treatment program.
I will be running both the Mackay & Airlie half marathons in June & July to raise both awareness and funds to help cover Ash’s treatment. Your support from the sidelines and any donations no matter how big or small will mean the world to not only me, but more importantly to Ash and her family.
To Ash.....I never knew what bravery was until I saw it in you - you are my absolute hero and every step of those 42.2 km's are for you.
