Campaign Story
Running Round Singapore for the Singapore Specials...
Exclusively Mongrels Limited (EM) is a registered NON Profit Organisation that supports the rehoming of homeless and abandoned dogs in Singapore. More often than not, these abandoned dogs are seen to be less desirable and sometimes abused mongrel breeds, we lovingly call Singapore Specials.
I recently adopted Harley, a gorgeous Singapore special, from Exclusively Mongrels who had saved him from being put down by AVA (Veterinary authority of Singapore). EM asked for no money to cover the costs for the vet fees, bills and other adoption fees they pay. They were just happy that Harley had found a forever home.
I want to help EM to continue their work to rescue, treat and find homes for other dogs - like they did for Harley. This would not be possible without donations. As such, after over a 1 year break from running I will be picking up and dusting off my running shoes and taking part in the SCB Half Marathon (21km) on December 4th and hoping to raise as much money as possible so EM can help more dogs like Harley and make more people like me happy!
This is no easy task! The last time I ran the half marathon, 2 years ago, I vowed NEVER to do again. So dig deep people! Any donation you can give to this great cause is hugely appreciated by dogs like Harley and all the volunteers at EM! Every penny really does count.
Meanwhile... I better get training!
