Multiplex Sclerosis is the most common disease affecting the brain and the spinal cord which is diagnosed most frequently in the younger stages in life. This condition is affecting the connections between nerve cells and this can cause poor eyesight, stiffness and lack of strength in legs and balance issues.
My name is Jaan and I am seventeen years old, I am originally from Estonia, and I have moved to Sweden seven years ago. I am running for Multiple Sclerosis (MS) because it is a condition has effected someone close to my heart. My grandmother was diagnosed with the condition in her 40’s and finding a way to support her and the whole MS community in Estonia is a goal of mine. I am going to be running “Göteborgsvarvet” (a half marathon in Gothenburg, Sweden) which will take place on the 18th of May, this year and I am aiming to run the event in under 2 hours.
I invite anyone who is looking for a heartwarming and signifigant way to contribute to a good mission supporting a good cause. If you are someone who is training for "Göteborgsvarvet", or any running event in the near future I encourage to keep this idea of running for a good cause in mind for motivation. Even if you are not training for a running event, it is always great to give for a signifigant cause and therefore I challenge you to join me by contributing to this fundraiser.
All the money collected in this fundraiser is sent to the Estonian Multiplex Sclerosis Fund.
