Running For Iasoneio

Dear friends,

On November 21^, I’m participating for the 1^st time, in the 10K Race of the Radisson BLU Larnaka International Marathon. I have decided to make this personal challenge more meaningful by supporting a great local cause. I’m therefore running for the Centre for Adults with Special Needs “Iasoneion-Chromata Zois” .

The Centre “Iasoneion-Chromata Zois” is operating in Larnaca since 2018 and is unique in its focus to supporting and caring for adults (ages 21 and over) with severe, mainly mental, disabilities. The Centre is partly funded by government aid, with a high dependence on private funding through donations from businesses and individuals and the organisation of charity events.

I thank you for supporting me in my fundraising effort and celebrating with me the highest human value: solidarity.

Φίλοι μου,

Στις 21 Νοεμβρίου θα συμμετάσχω για 1^η φορά στον Μαραθώνιο Radisson BLU Λάρνακας , στη διαδρομή των 10Κ. Αποφάσισα να προσδώσω σε αυτή την προσωπική πρόκληση λίγη περισσότερη αξία στηρίζοντας ένα αξιόλογο σκοπό. Επέλεξα να τρέχω για το Κέντρο Ενηλίκων ΑμεΑ «Ιασόνειο-Χρώματα Ζωής», το οποίο λειτουργεί στην πόλη μας από το 2018.

Κέντρο «Ιασόνειο-Χρώματα Ζωής» φιλοξενεί άτομα άνω των 21 ετών με σοβαρές αναπηρίες, κυρίως νοητικές, τα οποία δεν στηρίζονται από άλλες υφιστάμενες δομές εξυπηρέτησης ΑμεΑ. Η λειτουργία του Κέντρου χρηματοδοτείται από μερική κρατική χορηγία, εισφορές, δωρεές από άτομα και εταιρείες, εγγραφές μελών, καθώς επίσης και από τη διοργάνωση εκδηλώσεων.
