At the start of the pandemic, I set up Mentoring Advocacy Network (MAN) to raise awareness of men’s mental health issues and shape the conversation on masculinity.

Through MAN, I hosted several webinars, published numerous blog posts, and recently launched Mentality Podcast as a place to explore what healthy masculinities are about.

To further raise awareness of men’s mental health and the harmful effects a restrictive and toxic view of masculinity has on men’s mental health, I’ve decided to run an Olympic Triathlon* on 7th August 2022 in London hosted by London Tri.

I will use the raised funds to:

  • buy an additional microphone and audio interface to improve the technical and sound quality of the recording for the Mentality Podcast
  • organise an event in November about educating young boys in response to men’s violence against women

Please join me in raising support for MAN in my work via this platform to raise awareness of men’s mental health and conversations on healthy masculinities.

Whatever amount you can give will be gratefully received and will play a crucial part in enabling MAN to grow.

Find out more at www.manmentoring.org.uk, on Instagram @man_mentoring or you can listen to the Mentality Podcast here.

Please connect with me on Strava @Lau C to follow up on the triathlon training.

Last but not least, I’m grateful to Maroon Fitness for supporting this cause.

Many thanks

Lau Ciocan
