Who am I?

My name is Stephen and I run with the name @movewithsteve. I'm a massive advocate of mental health and attempt to raise awareness in everything I do of the positive effects that exercise has on the mind and body. MIND and THEN BODY. In. That. Order.

This type of event is not new to me. In December 2022 I ran a distance of 133Km for 24 hours straight collecting a whopping 770 meals. I did this with over 40 people who ran with me at different intervals. It was hard BUT rewarding to say the least

2000 meals to collect. Whyyy?

It’s almost shocking that anyone in Malta goes hungry. In 2022 Soup Kitchen Valletta served 30,450 guests, with 220 of them being children. Clearly there is a need.

What will be happening?

Still with me? Some important numbers to get that psychology of giving going:

• 28th April 2023 - The race starts
• 365 km - A run from Syracusa to Marsala, Sicily i.e. it’s like running from Cirkewwa TO Birzebbuga and back 10 TIMES (almost 9 full marathons)
• 2.5 days straight without sleep
• 90% on road & 10% trail… it’s more like SimCity than Command & Conquer

How will the funds be spent?

• 2,000 meals will be donated to the SoupKitchen OFM Valletta
• Each meal costs 5 euros
• 100 -150 meals will be delivered every Friday
