"Husk is a not for profit non government organisation working to improve the lives of families in Siem Reap Cambodia. HUSK’s core focus is working (initially) with the communities in Treak and Kompheim villages located in Siem Reap province Cambodia. Our philosophies are simple and centre around helping people to improve their lives and create opportunities for a brighter and healthier future." Cambodia is home to happy and friendly people that smile despite their obvious everyday challenges. After seeing the positive impact Husk is having on Treak and Kompheim villages, I want to do my part to help these incredible people. On May 2nd I will be running my first marathon in Rotarua (42km) to fundraise for Husk and the people of Treak and Kompheim villages. Every donation little donation is significant. Just $20 purchases two fruit trees, soil and bamboo protection for one grateful family. $50 purchases materials to undertake basic house repairs, and a total of $350 purchases a dual chamber toilet for a family. As you can see donations are what sustain this amazing organization and benefit the communities they work with.
