Campaign Story
The women of the rural KwaZulu Natal communities often have to walk great distances to get basic needs like water or medical care. Our Zimele Community program also brings them together regularly in their movement to empower themselves and uplift their community. They travel great distances to make this happen. I wish to acknowledge their dedication through a series of 3 trail runs, each 15km long, each event equalling an average of some of the women walking per day.These funds raised will pay for their transport to all of March training events, saving them some 45 kilometres of walking!
