Campaign Story
Music is a huge part of our lives. Recently we heard that Mrs Lazarus, our beloved music teacher from secondary school, had undergone hip surgery and has experienced post-surgery complications which required admission into the intensive care ward. There is no National Health Service in India, and limited health insurance facilities, and the resulting medical bills have put a significant financial strain on Mrs Lazarus and her husband.
We decided to do something to help.
The St. Michael's Academy band from the late 80s (yes - that is 25 years ago!) is running a fund-raising international marathon relay, and we need your support and contributions. Just viewing the old photos (yes, there were colour photos back then - complete with decapitation!) and trendy stone-wash jeans is surely worth something?!!

Leg 1: Stephen Alberts (Bass) Running experience: None!

Leg 2: Jaideep Vivekanand (Guitar)?? Running experience: Plenty
Location: Chennai, India???? Weather forecast: Hot 32°C
Start time: 6:00am IST???? Theme song: Glen Frey – The heat is on
Leg 3: Ashwin Narayanan (Vocals)?? Running experience: None!
Location: Bangalore, India? ?? Weather forecast: Hot 32°C
Start time: 7:00am IST ???? Theme song: Beatles – Don’t let me down
Leg 4: Tom Samuel (Guitar)??? Running experience: This distance is child’s play!
Location: Vienna, Austria???? Weather forecast: Cool 16°C
Start time: 5:00am (8:30am IST)?? Theme song: Bryan Adams – Run to you
Each leg will be a distance of 10.55km, making up the total marathon distance. St Michaels Academy alumni are welcome to join the lead runner on any leg. The results will be posted online.
