Run for Life!

I am running for my life.

Back in the beginning of 2011 I went in for my regular yearly doctor checkup.  After some routine tests I was met with news that was not plesant.  They detected a murmer in my heart.  This was it this was the beginning of what I knew was inevitable. 

I am not giving up!

Right then and there I decided to stop eating, not caring, and not exercizing.  I signed up for every free service, class and workshop my medical foundation provided.  I cleaned out my kitchen and started completely over.  And the leaf was turned over.

I started to feel better!

The weight started dropping.  My energy was raising.  I was no longer out of breath going up the stairs.  I could not believe how good I felt.  At the beginning of 2012 was my doctors visit one year after the news of the heart murmur.  He was so impressed with my hard work and the weight I had lost.  And I got the green light to start running.  

The self training began!

I ran ..... it hurt .... then it got easier.  So, my goal this year is to run in the San Francisco Marathon.    But, I need help, I don't have enough income to cover the race.  I'd appreciate any help anyone can give to help me reach my goal. Thank you!
