Run for Haiti: Bigger than life.

In the 30th of March i will be running The Spartan race in Italy, this is a 13km run across the countryside of North Italy where I will be facing almost 25 differents strenght-related obstacle.

I have decided to dedicate this run to the people who are in Haiti. I traveled there during this winter break because I was curious to see and touch what was like to experience life in one of the poorest country in the world.

While I was volounteering, I have been strucked by the people who lived there. I saw what was the meaning of living a lifewith the hope to live one more day.

In these days the situation in Haiti has got worse than before. People in the street are protesting against the government causing a shutdown in all the basic service that are valuable for the population.
Port-au-prince is on the edge of a revolution, and people on the street are getting killed daily.
The prices are increasing in reaction to these protests and people cannot go to the market, schools are closing down and primary goods are running low.

Some of the young guys I met in Haiti that live in a community environment away from Port-au-prince told me that gas and electricity is missing nowdays, and taking care of the children is the main objective for them.
I have seen how all of them care one for each other and how valuable is giving more than receiving.

This is a message from Father Rick, he is the man who was capable to make a difference in Haiti after the earthquake of 2010 and is still fighting each day to give this country a reason to live.

I have volountereed with Fondazione Rava, this is an Italian ONLUS that work strictly with N.P.H. (Nuestros Pequenos Hermanos), to deliver help and goods to the population.
Their main hospitals are overhelmed by the casualties and are running low on supplies.
I have seen what even a little help can do, and all the donation will be sent to this No-profit organization.

Details for donation:

• Any amount will be used to buy a new ambulance for the Saint Luc hospital
  
• 10 € will provide 10kg of Pasta made from Francisville (N.P.H. Project destined to create a working place for Haitian where they can create primary goods)
  
• 25€ will provide 23kg bag of Rice
  
  
  
• 100€ will provide a water supply of 10.000 liter/ 2.650 gallon
