Ruegie Needs Eye Surgery.

Hello, this is Ruegie. He is a year and a half old, and he is my best friend. His third eye lid started to prolapse during the winter, but it would always return to it's original position until two weeks ago. The cost of the surgery to have his eyelid repair is around $900.00. The cost of it is not something I would normally seek help with, especially from a self-funding site, but due to my current financial situation, I have resorted to searching for help in places I never imagined I would. I love him though and am willing to try anything.

The surgery will consist of creating a secondary pocket for the tear duct to be tucked back into, and by not simply removing the gland, it will continue to produce tears, avoiding a dry eye condition that would result from its complete removal. The surgery will also consist of his neutering. I would wait until I could afford that on my own, but I wouldn't want to keep putting him through anesthesia.
