Ruby is a 12-year old with an extremely rare genetic condition called Stromme Syndrome, which causes microcephaly, vision impairment, bowel obstruction, short stature and developmental delays. There are only 12 known cases of this condition in the world!

Over the last 12 years many doctors have made predictions about Ruby's future but she has proven all of them wrong! She can see much more than I ever imagined and she walks, talks, and blesses so many lives. She's a smart, sweet and funny little girl with a heart of gold. She loves baseball, her iPad, Frozen and watching her favorite shows in many different languages.

Ruby has an amazing black lab named Stella who is 12 years old. Before Stella passes on, I would like to bring a facilitated guide dog into our home who will be specially trained to help Ruby walk more independently, prevent her from falling down stairs and hurting herself on other obstacles, and help create more social opportunities for her. I have found a service dog organization that trains dogs for Ruby's unique needs and the only thing standing in our way is money!
