Roy Williams, from Didsbury, raced to Palatine Road to help the pensioner on Sunday afternoon but later found his phone had been stolen from his car - just metres from where he had been assisting the North West Ambulance Service
A volunteer has been left devastated after his phone was stolen as helped an elderly woman during an emergency call.
First responder Roy Williams, 68, raced to help the injured pensioner when she became ill on Sunday afternoon.
When he arrived at the scene in Northenden he saw she was ‘very unwell’ and rushed to her aid - forgetting to lock his car doors.
When he returned to his Citroën Berlingo later, he discovered that his personal iPhone 6 has been stolen from the vehicle just metres from where he had been assisting the North West Ambulance Service.(Wording taken from M.E.N website)
Our aim is to raise enough funds to replace Roy's stolen IPhone 6s, so please dig deep and help support this local cause

For Roy We often take for granted the very things that most deserve our gratitude. I've seen and met angels wearing the disguise of ordinary people living ordinary lives. Volunteers don't get paid, not because they're worthless, but because they're priceless

Very pleasing to see so many people backing this campaign. Roy does nothing but good for everyone he meets. I'm proud to have known him for the past 12 years and to call him a close friend. Well done to everyone who has donated to this fund.

Roy, so gutted that people feel they can steal from a community stalwart such as yourself especially when you are trying to help people in your community. Hopefully this small donation will help you to continue to give up your time to help others.
