The 50001 Youth Training Trust is a Lowestoft based maritime youth training Charity, (registered charity no. 1160783) who own "Rotary Service" an ex RNLI Lifeboat which is now in the process of being converted for use as a youth training vessel.
The trusts aims are to work alongside other voluntary organisations or directly with the end user to offer the chance for young & disadvantaged individuals to come on board as a volunteer, or just to take short training courses with qualified instructors, empowering them with the qualifications and experience to follow a career in the maritime sector.
Several years of disuse prior to the trusts purchase have began to show, and the vessels paint work is in very poor condition and the vessel is mechanically in need of repair and upgrade. however the vessel remains structurally in very good condition.
Recently we have had Rotary Service water jet blasted, and are in the process off painting her back resplendent in oxford blue, with grey superstructure to differentiate her from current RNLI lifeboats, and recently we have sourced new engines for her which we now need to refurbish or replace gearboxes on.
To make this possible we need your help.
