To Rose’s dearest and closest friends and family, thank you again for seeing her through this past year! As you know, she has been on this journey protecting water, helping others in need, and bringing awareness to social and cultural issues. Since leaving Standing Rock, she has depended on the generosity of close friends, she has continued to educate, and give deep thanksgiving to Creator. She has come full circle now, attending the Standing Rock reunion of healing and ceremony, and going through the memorial for her brother who died a year ago while she was at Oceti Sakowin camp.
Now, she is ready to get back to the independent lifestyle she craves.
Fortunately, she has many members of her community who wish to contribute and help her get back on her feet again. One friend has graciously offered her a place to stay and a temporary job. Meanwhile, she has been searching for a permanent residence, and employment as a social worker, hopefully working with Native youth.
