Roofing For Cats At Animal Guardians Malta

Dear supporters and animal lovers,

We are sure most of you are aware of the expenses involved in taking care of one pet or two, or even of feeding a colony of stray cats, tending to their medical issues and also the time and energy required to ensure they are happy and comfortable as can be.

Now let's look at a larger scale - running a cat sanctuary between six regular volunteers. Day in, day out - the cats have to eat and need to take their medicine regardless of what day it is or if it's a public holiday. Our utmost priority when managing your kind donations always goes towards ensuring these fur babies have premium quality food and that they get checked up at the vet whenever needed.

The time has come where we simply cannot delay anymore a particular maintenance job at the Cat Cafe - to those of you who are not familiar with the environment of our Cat Cafe, we have in the past year managed to shelter approximately half of our cat sanctuary grounds by an appropriate roofing material, thus ensuring the cats have adequate shelter from the elements and also much needed shading. This along with the comfy rooms and pallet structures and kennels they so much love.

We now need to enclose the rest of the sanctuary with sturdy chicken wire and install appropriate supportive metal poles along the area - needless to say we are looking at an expense of 100's of euros here , so after having acquired several estimates from retail outlets, we can say that we are looking at an overall expense of 800 EUROS to be collected by the aimed at date of Monday 14th September.

We trust that help will come our way as this tiny island is blessed by kind hearted people who have turned for help from sanctuaries who house abandoned animals on several occasions, who comprehend the dedication and endless hours we volunteers put into cat rescue and care.
