I was a part-time teacher and an experienced Admin & HR employee before I went through the challenges I am facing now. After being hospitalized for 2 weeks, my life completely changed and I've been living cautiously since I was diagnosed with a brain aneurysm. It took me several months to regain my strength and walk without assistance, but I am still a long way from full recovery.

I was hospitalized in 2 different hospitals due to the bleeding in the right side of my brain. I was working at a school in a province close to Manila and that's where I was first rushed to the hospital one morning. After a series of tests and upon the recommendation of my doctors there, I was transferred to a hospital in Manila to undergo specific tests that would confirm their assessment of my condition. The said tests later revealed that I indeed have an aneurysm.

In order to continue living safely, I was told by the doctors that I have to undergo an operation and they laid out the options. Upon consultation with different doctors and hospitals for the suitable option for me, we found out that the said operation ranges from P650,000-P900,000 for the operation alone.

While I am preparing for the operation, I was also told by all the doctors to "do nothing". Aside from maintaining a low salt and low cholesterol diet, I was also advised to veer away from anything that is stressful. I thought it was absurd to do nothing and I also wonder how I could live a stress-free life given my condition, but I later on understood and accepted what they meant by that and why it is necessary for people like me to take control - my life depended on it. I am thankful that I was not paralyzed nor do I have any speech problems, but I had a hard time recovering both physically and mentally. I lost 7 kilos when I was hospitalized and it took me almost a year to finally see and feel that I am somehow making progress. My life after being discharged has been a cycle of recovering and feeling sick most of the time. There were a lot of times that I thought I would end up in the hospital again, so I spent most of my days resting and re-learning things, prioritizing my health and choosing to stay home.

I had trouble walking without assistance during the first 6 months. I have been making notable progress since. Travelling alone is still a challenge right now, but I have learned to adjust. I take my time to go from one place to another. Uninterrupted sleep has also been a luxury. I get easily disrupted by sounds and movements now. The quality of my days rely on the amount and quality of sleeping or resting time that I had. I have to have the right amount of rest in order for me to have the energy and balance to move around the following day, otherwise, I would easily become disoriented and I'd be spending the rest of my day recovering and moving cautiously. If there's one thing that I've learned throughout this ordeal, it would have to be how to control everything - from my meals to my habits to my mental and emotional state - in order to feel better for a longer duration. I have learned to always choose the better and proven options for me everyday.

I didn’t go through the needed operation immediately because I was too weak to even stand up after the hospitalization - but I believe I am ready now. I just have to raise the funds I need for the whole process. However, I can only do limited things so it continues to be a struggle for me to earn and save. I needed to find ways to cover for all the financial obligations, as well as the medicines that I have to spend on. After a year of not having a stable source of income, it is inevitable that I would need all the help I can get. Thankful that there were people who occasionally helped me, but after trying my best to juggle funds and find ways to stay afloat, I’m surrendering to the idea that it is time for me to ask for help to raise the funds that I need. I decided to set up my own campaign here and go out on a limb to ask for assistance, crossing my fingers that I would be noticed - if things will work out, hopefully I could push thru with the operation or any corrective procedure needed within this year.

It would mean a lot if you would choose to take part in my journey to full recovery. I would also appreciate if you could include me in your prayers as I go through the next steps. Strength and conditioning

Update posted by Ron Ely Payumo at 03:00 pm

While continuously monitoring my blood pressure and taking all the needed supplements and medicines, I am currently trying other alternative therapy methods like using a personal combination stimulator to aid in regaining my strength and conditioning. During my recent consultation, my doctor provided an estimate of the expenses for the

Another Test

Update posted by Ron Ely Payumo at 05:04 pm

There has been a development a couple of weeks ago. The hospital we consulted in the US sent us their assessment regarding the lab results they requested. They advised me to undergo a catheter angiogram to verify the real cause of the bleeding, because according to them, there might be
