          Dear Reader,   I am Aliija Ronald, aged 24 years old. I was born on 5th January 1990 as the 12th of 19 children.   In August 2010, I enrolled for Mountains of the Moon University’s Bachelors of Banking and Development Finance (BBDF) in Fort Portal, Western Uganda, located about 210 km South-West of my home district- Hoima.  BBDF is a unique programme innovated by Mountains of the Moon University (MMU), accredited by Uganda’s Council for Higher Education in 2010.   I managed to graduate as the overall best of my year, with a CGPA of 4.44 (1st class).   Different from most secondary students in Uganda, I performed well in Mathematics and Enterpreneurship.   I am aspiring to become a leader of a financial institution that takes financial services to the majority rural Ugandans whose livelihoods depend on agriculture; and/or an academic teacher of banking and Micro(finance).   I have the potential to make a difference to the social and economic development of their country. This was acknowledged by African School of Economics (http://africanschoolofeconomics.com) which granted me a partial scholarship to pursue a Masters in Business Administration.   Furthermore, I was offered a student-work-contract. Together these make up US$ 7,000 out of US$ 9,100 tuition (including enrolment fee).   Apart from the US$ 2,100 tuition, I reckon that they will need about US$ 5,000 for boarding and lodging for one academic year.   I have mobilised some savings and contributions from my friends and relatives. These will allow me to purchase a ticket, and I am determined to join ASE by 3rd August, 2014. ASE is supported by many international academic institutions and headed by renowned Princeton-professor Leonard Wantchekon.   Therefore, dear reader, dear friend, I would like to request you to contribute any amount you deem fit towards completing my education, and realizing my potential for the development of my country.   Therefore, dear reader, dear friend, I would like to request you to contribute any amount you deem fit towards completing my education, and realizing my potential for the development of my country.
