Campaign Story
Now that Barney has passed, his wife Rungaroon (Rung) and Ronan will move forward with the strength of his memory and carry forth Barney's hopes for Ronan's future. The family has struggled financially in recent years to cover Barney's medical costs and maintain everyday expenses. Luckily, friends and family in Thailand and elsewhere have been there to help when needed. Now, we can help too.
In Thailand, primary and secondary school costs money. Ronan's school tuition costs 30,000 baht per year, or about $850 USD. The goal of this fund is to collect enough money to cover the next 3 years of Ronan's schooling. If you feel so inclined to honor Barney by supporting Ronan's education, you may donate to the fund here. I will ensure that 100% of the funds we receive will go to Rung in support of Ronan.
Ronan, now 8 years old, is a bright and energetic boy who loves to meet and learn about animals. He plays football, and loves to play online games too. Rung is very dedicated to his education, helping him with his Thai and ensuring he does his homework everyday. He is learning Thai, English, and Rung's family's language spoken in Northern Thailand.

Barney was only 3 years older than me but I always looked up to him with his amazing charisma. He was a major influence on how to enjoy life, live everyday as your last because one day you will be right. I haven't talked to Barney in years but I already miss him so much. Tara, Rung & Ronan you are always welcome here in California and I hope to meet you one day soon. Yankee Pat
