Campaign Story
Life had been so different few years back then. My two children were doing well in school, they were consistently on the achievers list in class. On my my son's 5th Grade, he was accepted as basketball varsity player in school. A news that my husband was so happy & proud. We were an average family living a simple but happy life.
October 2016 after my son's basketball game, he arrived home very tired. He slept and woke up complaining of stomach pains. We brought him to the hospital, and the initial findings was dengue. But after some more laboratory test, my son, RON VINCENT, was diagnosed to have ACUTE LYMPHOBLASTIC LEUKEMIA.
Immediately then his treatment started. He undergo chemotherapy sessions. Every session was a heart melting experience seeing my son at a young age fight cancer. But I know he's a warrior. He's gonna fight & overcome his enemy. We almost lost him when he had a severe infection as a result of his chemotherapy and he survived. His grandfather came to visit him in the hospital crying and was asking why his grandchild have to undergo all of these. My son overheard him and answered, "YOU CAN'T SURVIVE THIS LOLO, YOU'RE OLD. ME, I CAN FIGHT & BEAR ALL OF THESE, I AM STILL YOUNG" with a smile on his face.
We were optimistic he can fight his illness. But after over a year of chemotherapy, his Leukemia had relapsed and he has to re-start again with chemotherapy sessions in a higher dose and radiation treatment as the cancer cells had reached his eyes causing a blurry sight.
To help him win this fight, his Oncologist wanted him to undergo BONE MARROW TRANSPLANT. We don't wanna lose our son. We appeal to your kind hearts to help us fight and win our son back.
Currently, Ron Vincent still continued his studies via home school. His Alma Matter had made arrangements for him. He occasionally attend school during exams. Weekdays, his classmates turned best friends, take turns to visit him home with the lessons of the day.
