Romania Trip

One of these projects takes place in rural villages surrounding the city of Bacau, Romania. It is here that I will be volunteering, helping to run Summer Schools for the children living in this underprivileged area. The aim of this project is to promote the value of education to
the children and their families. The children are made to work from an early age; caring for the animals, working the land. We want to show families how valuable education is, but also how much fun it can be too. They spend all year looking forward to the Summer School and it is a fantastic and rewarding project to be involved in.

Without our donations, this project could not run. The money I raise will go towards things like snacks and juice for the children during the week, materials for the Summer School and prizes for the children at the end.
