This campaign is to start a retail company in South Africa called Roley, which will specialise in menswear brands and have an international reach. Roley will begin with fashion basics such as underwear, swimwear and lounge wear, before later on expanding into other forms of menswear.

I am looking to bring men in touch with International brands that aren't readily available in South Africa. I feel that there is a growing need for variety in men's fashion that is not being fully met in South Africa. I also believe that designer menswear can improve the confidence men have, while allowing for self-expression, even if its in the form of the underwear you have on that no one else can see, it can have a huge impact on you.

This campaign is for the funding of the first two phases of my business goals, being the setting up of the company with an ecommerce portal, and then the founding of our first physical store location in Johannesburg.
This campaign will cover the following costs in our first phase: our tax, legal, and business services cost, cost of setting up an ecommerce portal, marketing and packaging, and most importantly a variety of stock. For phase two costs would include deposit on rent, shop fitting and POS hardware, overheads for the first year (including salaries), and importantly an even larger variety of stock.

My timeline is to have the company registered and operating on it's ecommerce portal within 3 months of the closing of the campaign, and to then have our first store open within the next 9 months.

In the first two phases I expect to create at least 5 employment opportunities, and once I reach phase three I envision total employment opportunities to be at least 22.

Roley is derived from the founder's name Roland (Ro) and Hurley (ley).

This campaign has been created using US$ as the currency due to requirements on Paypal, the option I am using to receive campaign funds.
Should the campaign not reach its full goal, every effort will be taken in pursuing these goals with the funds that are received, though this may have an effect on the rewards.
