Rodney’s Journey to Healing

Hello. Let me introduce myself, I am July Rain. This is the 2nd online fundraising that I set up to raise funds for my brother Rodney, who is battling Stage 3 Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma since January 2018. He got his first set of chemotherapy from June 2018 to September 2018, his needed medicine is called R-CHOP, which includes the main treatment called RITUXIMAB which costs 100,000pesos or 2,000 dollars per session/treatment, unfortunately we were only able to afford the chemotherapy medicines called C.H.O.P (4 different drugs) that's why the treatment failed after 5 sessions and we found out after the CT Scan that his main tumor even grew from 7.5cms to 9cms. The medicine Rituximab is made to particularly target CD20 cancer cells, which Rodney has, administered together with the chemotherapy drug and he needs all 6 sessions of the treatment to totally dissolve the tumor and the cancer cells.

I am knocking on your kind hearts once more, to help my brother heal. To give him a chance to finish his studies which he is looking forward to and experience working and applying his course in the corporate world. To have a chance to raise his own family and live a long and healthy life... I pray to see him grow old and living life and what life has to offer. He always wanted to travel...

As of December 1, 2018, Rodney came home to Baguio City from Pasig City, Metro Manila to get his needed medical treatments and procedures at Baguio General Hospital Medical Center. We are lucky that the main medicine we need is available at the hospital pharmacy and we have angels who are doing what they can for us to get discounts and charity donations. At this point, we have exhausted all means and resources to fund Rodney's medical expenses that's why I am opening up another campaign. Thank you Go Get Funding for creating this platform.

The funds raised through this campaign will be used for his all his medical expenses; chemotherapy, immunotherapy, laboratory tests, all needed medical procedures and medicines, the things he needs to be comfortable.

We need funding until the last session of his chemotherapy and immunotherapy.

Rodney's Chemotherapy sessions have 21 days interval. As of December 24, 2018, Rodney already had his 1st chemotherapy session of the Rituximab-CHOP medicine.

His 2nd chemotherapy session will be on January 9, 2019.
