My name is Walter Daniel my wife (Joyce) and I are avid outdoor enthusiasts. We live in rural Missouri and have been married for 32 years. We are not getting any younger we are both in our 50’s. I am not currently employed and she works as a sewing machine operator.
February 25 2013 as fate would have it Joyce was laid off from work and was watching the Today Show and low and behold there was an interview with Forrest Fenn. Little did we know that would spark what has now been 5 years searching for Forrest Fenn's elusive treasure named Indulgence.
We spent the next 15 months pondering solutions.
If you don’t know who Forrest Fenn is Google him you will find a myriad of information as to who he was, who he is, and what he has done.
For us he sparked the little kid adventurer in us and we have had many great adventures searching for the treasure he has placed somewhere in the Rocky Mountains North of Santa Fe, Nm.
For the past year we have been working on a solution that involves the State of Wyoming and made 2 trips doing reconnaissance, although our solution has nothing to do with anywhere he has talked about spending time as a child or adult.
Most searchers have a general consensus that the treasure must be hid somewhere he has spoken of, we believe quite the opposite, what better way to hide something than to not speak of where you hid it.
We feel that we have unlocked the secret to his poem that he states contains 9 clues which if correctly solved will lead the searcher to the chest and “the end of his rainbow”.
Unlike many searchers we have not made a massive number of trips, only 5 to be exact, reason 1 is we believe running around helter skelter in the Rocky Mountains will not result in solving this quest. Reason 2 is we are not flush with money.
Reason 2 is why I am here, to ask for public help to fund a 3 month expedition to maybe put the Forrest Fenn legend to rest.
We need $20,000 for this expedition, to purchase a new to us expedition vehicle secure enough to camp in the Rocky Mountains as well as food, fuel, and any unknown mishaps, as everyone knows when you take time away from normal work it still cost’s money to live.
At least 4 have died from searching for this....
So I ask you, will you take a chance with us and help fund this expedition? We hope to have this raised by March 31 2019. Thank you for your time and consideration.
