To all my dear friends here on Earth, on International Space Station and on Facebook. I thank you for following my rocket building project and your positive comments.
My rocket building passion began as a hobby that has gone maistream. I have entertained a number of local and international schools by building and launching water powered rockets together. I also did a rocket building and launching for the Awesome Foundation Nairobi Chapter back in 2014. Watch Captain ZAWADI BARIDI on UTUBE.
Despite great challenges I wouldnt lay out here, I have resumed work on the biggest rocket in my resume and I look forward to completing by early 2021. It's the towering rocket shell you see in the images.
Construction began in 2016 but halted after only the shell had been built due to limited funds.
When completed, the launch will take place here in Kenya in June 2021. It's expected to climb to 20000 feet.
I intend to launch it with passport photos of donors onboard, as a treat! The launch is to thrill and inspire people of all ages, especially here in Africa where they only see rockets in the media.
The launch also aims to raise funds that will go into establishing a rocket and space science academy offering exotic opportunities to any aspring learner with a big dream.
My plea goes out to all of you my friends. Your donation will go into purchasing the required materials and tools and hire expertise that will see the completion and eventual launch of the rocket.
I also send out requests to rocket experts out there to share their knowledge in rocketry by contributing technically.
I hope you are with me in this endeavor as I look forward to make it a reality. I eagerly yearn to receive not only your donations but your ABANDUNT technical assistance.
You can all imagine how it feels to see your dream come true, so help make mine, and others come true!
