Robotics & Coding for Mothibistad Kids

A Connected Future NPC is a Non-Profit Organisation registered in South Africa that aims to facilitate a more competitive Africa for the Fourth Industrial Revolution by preparing the African child for the digital future.

We focus on building capacity in kids, teachers, management and leaders to master robotics and coding capabilities by laying the fundamentals in math, science and reading literacy.

Our vision is to give children the digital Africa advantage, incubating through STEM education.

The project we are funding for here is at Mothibistad, a small rural town in the Northern Cape, South Africa. Five schools signed up for the 3 month program to lay the foundations of good curriculum delivery. The 9 element program we offering the school management team focus on leadership and change management, building capacity in the management team to stretch their ability to educate and inspire children to become the Thought Leaders and Captains of Industry.

Once the stage is set, we are rolling out programs to establish and advance Robotic & Coding skills of learners:

Firstly an assessment to understand the gap between learner grading in Math and Science and their proficiency. After the Gap Analysis we are able to match skills building program to the level of grading the learners are at and advance from there.

This goes parallel with erecting a STEM laboratory for the schools, establish coding clubs and building robotics lab so kids can learn and have fun.

We are please to partner with Anglo American in their Ambassadors for Good Skills Transfer Program to deliver this project in collaboration.
