Freshwater is the lifeblood of our planet, and freshwater ecosystems connect people with the resources they need to thrive. But when rivers, lakes and wetlands are degraded, their ability to provide reliable supplies of clean water — and to support the species on which millions of people depend — is threatened.
This campaign to raise money to build a small waste disposal system in selected villages around Sarawak. Currently, the domestic waste consists of mostly plastic materials were dump on open space near the river. Without a proper waste management system, there is a risk to pollute the freshwater body.
This funding will be used to:
1) build a waste disposal system in selected villages
2) conduct an education campaign among the villagers,
3) maintaining the waste disposal system while engaging local authorities to provide scheduled waste disposal services.
