After spending most of my life reaching to the depths of our beautiful Mediterranean Sea, I have now committed myself to scaling the great heights of the snow-capped Kilimanjaro, the highest free-standing mountain on the planet. What better reason to do this, when at the same time, I’ll be striving to collect funds to bring basic shelter and protection to 100 physically disabled children within the Kenyan village of Awasi.
For the next 9 months I've promised to dedicate all the effort it takes to physically prepare myself for the strenuous trek up Kilimanjaro. The Kilimanjaro Challenge is the chance to raise money for children who have so little, to have a better, different life. But I'm also setting new personal goals for myself, which aren't easy and will really push me both physically and mentally. If by doing this, I can also contribute to giving these children choices that they don’t have now, I'm all the more determined to do so.
At the same time I need you to make a donation. I've pledged to raise 5,000€ that will go towards the building of the home that will house these children
The money you donate will mean that this project can really happen. I have no doubt that the climb will be strenuous and hard, at times I'll feel that it's too much and even beyond me. All I ask is that you pledge a sum that means with every footstep, the goal to get there is worth more and more. With the support that you give, I promise to fight to get myself to the top of Kilimanjaro. At its peak, I'll be able to tell you that you have succeeded in changing lives.
