Campaign Story
Cheryl was pregnant, but because of poverty and the enhanced community quarantine against COVID19 in Moises Padilla Negros Occidental, Philippines, she was not able to avail of prenatal care. She had eclampsia, heart failure, and swollen brain; she had forced cesarean delivery and fell into a coma.
She is hooked to a ventilator and needs to undergo tracheotomy. Hospital bill is rising and our family has given all we have for her medical care.
Please, please help us prolong and pray for the life of Cheryl so she can take care of her newborn baby.

Sustaining Cheryl
Update posted by Lyrie Jean Embang at 10:19 amIt's been five months since my sister Cheryl fell into coma. While she can mostly breathe on her own (without the oxygen tube and tank), all her abilities have not resumed. We still feed her via tubes and syringe, she cannot move nor talk. Her baby is growing without a
July Update on Cheryl Embang
Update posted by Lyrie Jean Embang at 06:15 amIt's now two months since we were able to bring Cheryl home from the hospital. All our resources are used for her home care and the needs of her baby, sometimes even foregoing meals of other family members within the day. Life is hard in the province, especially it's off. . . . .

She remains unable to move her body, talk, nor breathe normally due to the eclampsia and cardiac arrest she suffered. It's really unfortunate that her pre-eclampsia was not detected. . . . .
URGENT HELP for home care
Update posted by Lyrie Jean Embang at 03:15 pmWe were able to bring my sister home, at the expense of mortgaging our home and being in deep debt (the hospital, friends, neighbours). Cheryl remains incapable of moving, talking, eating. Caring for her at home is tough as she still needs medication, sustained oxygen supply, and nutrition, and her
