Home burned down in devastating fire

10 July 2021 started out as a regular day for 51 year old Jacob, a work from home dad of 7 "fur-babies". While going about his morning routine he had no idea that before sunset he'd find himself homeless and destitute while grieving the loss of 4 of his beloved dogs.

A runaway fire on the open land next to Jacob's home took wind into the underside of his thatch roof. Despite his best efforts, the fire could not be contained. The fire department arrived on scene within 20 minutes but had struggles with low water pressure. The house was engulfed in flames and Jacob was forcefully evacuated while trying to save his pets that were lost in the thick smoke, only seconds before the wooden loft room in his home collapsed to the ground floor.

On this devastating day, Jacob lost the home he inherited from his parents, his home-based upholstery business and all his belongings except the singed clothes on his back. While we cannot take away the heartache he suffers after losing his 4-legged babies and seeing a family home full of memories go up in flames, we can help him rebuild some of what he has lost.
