Rinya community children’s education

APPEAL TO SPONSOR DISADVANTAGED AND SICK CHILDREN FOR 1 YEAR.

This campaign aims to assist the poorest and the most desperate children at Rinya, Awendo, Migori County, Kenya.

Awendo is one of the poorest parts of Kenya with one of the highest HIV infection rates in the country.

School fees are extremely low but are still a struggle for many families. Often a smart child is forced to stop coming to school, or come sporadically due to lack of money for fees. The schools gives some leeway to students struggling to pay fees but even that is not enough to maintain school attendance levels.

Odede Foundation is grateful to have secured sponsorship for 20 children through Rotary funding and kind donors. We need to do more so that the other children do not feel left behind.

Your donation will be used to provide scholarships, books, nutrition, basic medication for the sick children.

We appeal that you help us sponsor at least 20 additional children.

The minimum cost for sponsoring a child is $230 per year. The average cost for sponsoring a child who is ill or HIV positive is approx $500 per year.

We have a strict policy of 'no administration costs for child sponsorships. Our Foundation ensures that 100% of the funds received will go to the children.
