Right leg Edema

Three years ago, my mother suffered from CERVICAL CANCER stage 3. It took us two years to rule out the cancer. She undergone Chemotherapy, Radiation and Brachy Theraphy. After all those procedures we thought that she will feel relief. Few months after, she had renal hyperfusion and experience severe hips pain.

We decided to bring her back to her Doctor. As advised it was just a side effect of the medical procedures done to her. Months passed by, still my mother is in pain. Noticebly, her right leg is getting bigger, she is complaining that it is become numb and heavy that she can’t lift and walk normal as before.

We consulted different Doctors. Some told it was because of her diabetis, some says she had a problem with her kidney. Intake of oral medication has been her normal day to day life. Unfortunately there were no improvements.

Last March 2, 2020 we decided to bring her back to her Oncologist, then found out that there is a cyst in her ovary. The same day she was admitted and scheduled for operation the Doctor’s recommendation was to remove her ovary on urgent basis.

When she was in the operating room she had an heart attacked, In God’s will she was revived. Due to that, the operation was cancelled and the focus now is to strengthen her heart. During her stay in the hospital the Cardiologist notice her right leg, they requested for a medical laboratory the result was a blood clot was found and it was clearly explained to us that it is dangerous and need medication immediately because it might affect her heart condition.

The processed is supposedly to be done in the hospital she will be confine for six months, because the medication is not simple it has risk, there is high chance of bleeding because her ovary is not yet removed. But the doctors (Internal Medicine, Cardiologist and Oncologist) who look after her decided to prioritize the treatment of her right leg.

Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 we are advised to do the home medication because the Philippine General Hospital (PGH) will be the center of the COVID-19 patients.

She will be given 2x a day of Enoxaparin for six months since we are home based now we have to buy the medicine and it will cost 700PHP /pc.

Yesterday, she was discharged from the hospital and currently she cannot walk or even move her legs. Seeing my mother in this kind of situation is painful for me, but i cannot imagine how painful it was for her

I am humbly asking for a financial help in order to surpass the medication of my mother. Currently i am working as an OFW in Dubai, but the salary i am receiving is not enough to sustain her maintenance medicines.

Letting everyone know that whatever amount of cash we will receive for her treatment will be more appreciated.

Praying to God that she soon recover from this sickness. Awaiting for my mother fast recovery and to see her walk with us.
