Rachael (raerae) is a clever and  bubbly 12 year old that should have a bright future a head of her. On the 8th of August her parents received devastating news that their beautiful daughter has cancer.

Sadly on two occasions her local hospital failed to diagnosis a Ewing Sarcoma a really rare form of primary bone cancer on her left femar, which caused her to limp for over a year.  The bad news didnt end there after further tests it was confirmed that the bone was so weak that there is a high possibility that it would snap if she continues to weight bare and the tumar was no longer contained it has spread bilaterally to both her lungs which reduces the chances of survival to 25 percent.

Rae has taken this news in her stride, shaving her own hair so she is in control of the cancer  and often commenting on how she is still better off then many other children out there.

Rachael and her family  live in a 3 story town house which is proving a problem for Rachael to get up two flights of stairs to the top floor where the her bedroom and bathroom is. So the family are having to all club together to convert the family home to cater for rae's new needs to which have been forced upon them. So any money raised will primarily cover these costs.

The family  had to cancel the holiday they have saved for two year's and were very much looking forward too. The money they received back has been lost covering the cost of petrol to and from hospital and bought the addictional equipment Rachael needs to make her life as comfortable and as easy possible so if we sre lucky enough to receive enough money it will be spent supporting her parents dream of taking rae and her two little brothers to Disney land once she has recovered.

Two great friends Mark Thornton and Chris Courtis are going to do a Ride For Rachael on the 28/09/2014 the ride consist of Brownswood to Harlington Station (12 Miles) Train to London then London to Milton Keynes via The Grand Union Canal (68 Miles) Total Ride 80 Miles, We hope to complete this in 6/7 hours riding time but neither of them have rode past 35 miles before so this will be a good challenge and is a great cause in Rachael.
