RIDE FOR CLYDE

A good friend of mine, Clyde Gleeson, tragically passed away in a freak motor car accident on 21 April 2019.He had a dream (vision) to cycle around South Africa with a message to tell South Africans everywhere to put their hope in God and not in man.Only God will be able to sort out the mess we are in.As we were in the process of planning this trip and we have done many cycling missionary trips together I would like to fulfil this vision and dream on Clyde’s behalf.

Since Clyde’s passing 4 of his other friends decided to join me in this mission.They are Richard (who is also providing us with a back up vehicle), Roland, Marius and Jaco (our driver).We are leaving Cape Town on 26^th of August and will cycle 3000km to Tzaneen, planning to reach our destination by 15^th September.

The Bible says in 2 Chronicles 7:14:if My people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

We are daily bombarded with so many advertisements on billboards and the media for things that make no lasting difference.We have therefore decided to print T-Shirts with the name of JESUS on as we want to “advertise” the SOLUTION to our land’s problems and we will pray with and share the above scripture and hopefully be in a position to feed and clothe some people who are in desperate need along the way.

We are sending you this letter to give you an opportunity to partner with us in spreading this message.There are travelling, accommodation (mainly camping) and living costs involved and although each one of us are personally contributing towards the costs we would be grateful if you would consider coming on board and sponsoring us in whichever way you would like to.
