Hi everyone! My name is Richard, and I am currently a Grade 12 student at Riverside College located at BS Aquino Dr, Bacolod, 6100 Negros Occidental. I was born and raised in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental, where I've been for all my life.

My parents, Richard D. Vallez Sr. and Annabelle M. Vallez are both unemployed. My father works as an Electrician to support me and my 2 brothers, Armingol and Reyniel who are currently studying at an Elementary School. He is the one who searches for customers, asking anyone who needs someone to fix their electrical problems. He has been an electrician since I was a kid, because of that he's been able to support our financial needs. My mother works as a "labandera", someone who washes someone else's clothes. She did it to help my father with our financial needs because sometimes he runs out of costumer. If that happens we sometimes ask my grandparents to lend us some money so that me and my brothers can have our "baon ( Philippine English . Money, food, or other provisions taken to school, work, or on a journey.)"

Studying at Riverside College is such a burden for both of my parents. Even if Senior High School students were given a ₱20,000 voucher to be deducted with our tuition fee, we are still obliged to pay ₱1,200 every month. I haven't payed my tuition for the past 6 months that's why during our examination, which is the day we settle our tuition fee, I'm asking the Registrar if I could get a promissory note so that my score on the exam will be recorded by our teacher.

Both of my parents are trying their best, so am I. I do work during summer which help me support my financial needs as a student. I have recently taken on the responsibility of handling our food so that I could take some of the financial burden off of my parents, but this has prevented me from saving money for my college education. I can't go to college if my tuition fee is not settled, so for these reasons, I reach out to every single one of you to help me pursue my dreams of graduating from Senior High School with settled school bills. I will assure to anyone who will donate that every single penny will go to my unpayed tuition fees.

I continue to be optimistic, look for scholarships, and pray that my situation improves, but at this point I am concerned about the security of my future education, my family, and our well-being.

Donations of any amount is wholeheartedly appreciated whether it be ₱1, ₱5, or ₱100. Please help me continue the hard work I have started in Riverside College Foundation. It will be a dream come true that I will truly cherish forever.

P.S I don't have my graduation picture because I haven't payed the bill for our Yearbook. I will updated everyone of you about the things that are happening on me, may it be at school or at our home.

Thank You.
