Richards fundraising for SMD

Update : Richard has been in the Everest region since March 22nd. He is at high camp this week and hopes to summit in the next few days.

Richard is going to Nepal end of March to join an expedition to climb Everest. This is to ask your support as he is fundraising for a school in Kathmandu.

This climb will be his second attempt to summit the final of the "7 summits". He has spent the last 8 years training and travelling to all 7 continents of the world to stand on the top of their highest peaks. Whilst being driven by this goal, he is also driven to secure a better future for the marginalised children of the Himalayas. SMD cares for children who would otherwise not receive an education at all.

We know SMD school well, Tenzin, one of their graduates lived with us for 2 years. The school makes an incredible difference to so many lives through education. Richard has visited, he knows the administration and he knows they desperately need funds to carry on their vital work. The money we raise will go directly into the school and every 800CHF raised will pay for a child to stay in SMD for a year. If we can raise 8,848 CHF that would be one CHF for every meter of Everest, so thats the goal !
