Ricca to Paris Open and Series A

I am Ricca Torres, a graduate of the University of the Philippines, Diliman, and I am a member of the Philippine Team for Karatedo. I have been into Karate for over 22 years now and I have competed in more than 80 tournaments locally and internationally. I have competed in the 2019 Southeast Asian Games (SEAG) hosted by our country and won a bronze medal.

I am currently in a bubble training camp in Baguio city, preparing for an upcoming tournament, 17^th Asian Senior Championship 2021, to be held at Almaty, Kazakhstan this December 18 – 22, 2021. Since the pandemic started, the Philippine Sports Commission's budget has been limited and priority is given to world ranked athletes. In spite of this, I would like to compete to gain qualifying points for future world championships and improve my world ranking. It is for this reason that I am asking for financial assistance. I am very much looking forward for an opportunity to represent our country once again.

In line with this, I would like to humbly ask for financial support to defray the cost of the plane fare, accommodations, and tournament fee amounting to Php 200,000. Any amount will mean so much to me.
