Riana Botes Cancer Operation

Four years ago Riana Botes was diagnosed with a tumor in her womb, which started growing. She then developed bowel problems. “Crowns” Riana does not have a Medical Aid or Medical Insurance and therefor got Chemo tablets as well as injections to block the mass pieces. Three months ago a biopsy was done. The results showed a cancerous tumor at the back of her uterus which may spread to her lymphs, which would be irreversible. We then decided to take her at a Gynecologist in Polokwane, Dr Vermeulen and Van Heerden, who agreed to do the operation for just under R 10 000. Hospitalization costs amounts to R 35 000 for 3 days.

Dr Van Heerden suggested to do a Total Abdominal Hysterectomy and then to do further tests to establish if any cancer was left after the operation has been done. By doing the abdominal procedure it can prevent that the cancer gets exposed to light and spreads.

Ons het toe besluit om haar by 'n Ginekoloog te kry, in Polokwane, Dr. Vermeulen en Van Heerden, is bereid om die operasie te doen teen, net onder R10 000. Maar die Hospitaal, is R35000.00, vir 3 dae... Dr. Van Heerden beweer deur n Totale abdominale Historektomie te doen en dan daarna te kyk of daar kanker agter gebly het, en deur dit abdominaal te doen, kan verhoed natuurlik, dat die kanker lig kry...
