Rhino Ambassador Programme

I am currently setting up a conservation education programme with a very experienced game ranger and anti-poaching expert in South Africa. It is our informed opinion that the most effective way to reduce poaching is to reduce demand for wildlife products. And the most effective way to do that is through education.

We are going to bring Vietnamese university students to South Africa to undergo a ten day wildlife awareness course with a focus on rhino. There is also a module on effective writing and public speaking so that the students can return as Rhino Ambassadors to their communities.

The plan is to attract private and corporate sponsorship for these students and to run as many courses of 10 to 15 students as we can manage (and get funded) every year.

I truly want to make a difference in the preservation of our amazing wildlife heritage which is disappearing so fast. In order to do that, I need your help! If you feel you would also like to contribute to the education and awareness of nature conservation, please donate to this cause.

All funds will be used by me to ensure the successful implementation of the Rhino Ambassador Programme. We will also be partnering with Education for Nature Vietnam, the country's largest and most influential wildlife NGO. They will provide logistical, marketing and student recruitment support in Vietnam.

Your contribution will help cover running expenses and fundraising efforts. Once the programme is operating and sustainable any leftover funds from this campaign will be diverted to student sponsorship and/or vehicle or equipment expenses.

Further, for every $ 10 000 raised here, I will donate $ 2 200 to cover the sponsorship of one Vietnamese student for the programme. For more info email [email protected]
