My name is Rheanna Reed.
I am in my final year of my Doctor of Management in Organizational Leadership Degree. I am currently working on my dissertation. I am passionate about my topic. Did you know that employees tend to leave their boss, not their job? We have all had that one boss that drives us crazy and, if it wasn't for him or her, we would be happy at work.
I am studying the relationships that may exist between our leader’s ability to adapt to the needs of their employees and the employee’s intention of staying with the organization. I want to make a difference in the lives of others. I have found that practicing, teaching, and studying leadership has provided me with the tools that will help me make the workplace better for others.
Both leaders and employees can benefit from my study. I plan to use this study as a start to better understand the needs of leaders and employees. Understanding these needs and the proper interventions to satisfy both leaders and employees will assist me in developing leadership development programs that make a real difference in the workplace.
Costs associated with conducting a study can be crippling. Costs include copyright purchasing of survey instruments, survey distribution costs, consultant fees, transcription fees, and other incidentals. I am not very good at asking for help, but I am giving it a try.
