48th day in the hospital today.

Given a discharge slip already.

But we don't have money to pay even 50% of the total amount.

God help us... πŸ˜”πŸ˜”πŸ˜”

Day 35 in the hospital:

We are still trying to raise more financial assistance because his medication for now would take 28 days at 5,000 pesos per day and his dialysis is every other day at much higher rate for inpatient compared with outpatient at more or less 4,000 pesos each. Our campaign showed that we have gathered a lot for the last 35 days but still it is now enough. What we have here will be for his daily medicines and dialysis and not enough for his hospital bills that already reaches a million pesos. But, as I have said, we are focus on completing his antibiotics (conventional amphotericin b) and vancomycin for 28 days that started last friday, March 29,2019. 23 days more to go.

Thank you so much for being with us in this time of difficulties.

Day 33 in the hospital:

My brother Reyland already started his conventional amphotericin medication 2 days ago. Each vial is P4, 125 available at pills and more pharmacy on top of his other antibiotic (vancomycin @1650, with pwd discount). He is also having 4 x a week dialysis.

March 28, 2019

The specialist in infectious disease Dr. Chua tapped by Dr. Roxas (the surgeon), found out based on the blood culture that there is a bacteria called staphylococus and also a very strong fungus in the kidney biopsy.

The Doc. Chua made us choose which antibacterial meds to be used, the conventional amphoterin at P3,908/vial, one vial/day or the liposomal amphoterin at P10, 488/vial, 5 vials per day. It should be administer for 28 days. We choose the cheaper one though it is harmful to the kidney since both his kidneys are not functional anymore. So, 3,908x28 days is more practical to us than the other one which is 10,488 x 5 x 28 days.

Although cheaper but we already have financial difficulties due to our month long stay in the hospital. Our current bill now reaches at 1.2 Million pesos but we don't mind that as of the moment since the hospital won't demand us to pay right now. What we worries is his medicines on top of that antibacterial.

We are so grateful already for many have extended their generous hearts already. But, I will continue imploring for financial help... I will take away my shame for this is for my brother Reyland. I want to see him live longer till old age...

At 2am earlier today, he was bleeding again. So as early as 5am, he was wheeled back again to the operating room for another surgery.

They found out that the infection was still there and that it created another hole that caused the bleeding.

The Doctors are baffled what kind of infection is in his arteries that the even the strongest antibiotics has no effect.

Our family is very confused and worried. We don't know what to do but pray.

March 16, 2019 Update:

He had his 4th operation this year to removed the now dead newly transplanted kidney. The infection had spread from Reyland's own artery that the doctors had to cut, removed the infected part and reconnect his artery. His drain will still be there to be observed for one more week for any bleeding (God forbids). He is now in the recovery room and later on he will have his dialysis in the evening.

Please continue praying for his speedy recovery and thank you for your support financially.

The battle is not yet done...

We appreciate your continuous support for Reyland's medical expenses...

Thank you so much.. God is watching and surely be blessed for being generous.

He was bleeding again early in the morning last March 10, 2019. He was scheduled for operation that day to only to find that there was no active bleeding inside. The doctor cant dare took the new kidney out coz there's no active bleeding that time. They decided to let him undergo angiogram to trace the leak hoping that it is just minimal and can be saved or closed through embolism. Upon checking, they found out that the same spot where they have stitched last February 26 is the same spot that is leaking.

There are 3 options:

1.put a stent (3 weeks away to be ordered in singapore),

2. Reoperate and restitched (uncertain it wont open again)

3. To closed the artery that flows through the new kidney. Best solution to stop bleeding.

Now he's back to zero and back on dialysis.

He will also have another operation to removed the newly transplanted kidney so it wont spread damage. (it will die down inside due to the absence of blood flow).

He's been through a lot already.

We're all devastated but at the same time thankful that he will be saved.

He will be staying in the hospital for more days to recuperate.

To continue supporting his medical needs, thank you so much.. God is watching and surely be blessed for being generous.

My brother Reyland Colita successfully had his kidney transplant last January 29, 2019. He went home from the hospital a week later.

Last February 26, he was complaining pain on his bloated stomach with no apparent reason. We called ERUF to bring him to the the hospital immediately. It was found out that there was bleeding inside due to a small hole on the artery of the newly attached kidney that required an immediate surgery. After surgery, it went well for a few days, but again, one week later, there was another bleeding coming through in the drain purposely left for observation if there might be any bleeding inside. When checked, the kidney is still fine but his condition is becoming more sensitive and delicate.

The surgery and different procedures and labtests were taken that bills have piled up already that the hospital won't let us charge any medicines anymore.

We are now in dire need for any support, in any amount to help us with the daily medicines and necessary labtests.

We are imploring your generous hearts to share a few peso and help us extend and give my brother Reyland another chance at life.

Thank you so much and may God bless you a thousandfolds.
