Revived Literature and Arts Fest: OUR RESPONSE TO COVID -19

Dear friends of REVIVED AFRICA

Literature and arts are among the most active in the response to the spread of COVID 19.Many have redirected the efforts and resources to ensure that they play a part in the response to the global pandemic. Young writers and artists are at the frontlines, be it through research, activism, innovation and public awareness campaigns.

The 2020 Revived Literature and Arts Fest aims to create a space where African youth can engage on a collective and inclusive response to the pandemic and other issues affecting the literature and arts sector.

Revived Literature and Arts Fest will convene virtually during this YOUTH MONTH in order to create a space where African YOUTH can still engage on a collective and inclusive response to the pandemic.

Revived Literature and Arts Fest 2020 will take place from the 29TH – 30TH June via ZOOM under the theme: Spreading Hope , Inspired To Lead And all sessions will be impact-focused and youth catered. The virtual sessions will fall under the following themes:

1. Literature activism for disaster response
2. The impact of COVID 19 on young writers , readers and aspiring authors
3. Impact of COVID 19 on youth well-being and mental health
4. COVID 19 and quality basic education as a human right
5. Visual/Illustrations , books, art and poetry exhibition.
