Reunited

Hi, my name is Chloe, I am 20 years of age, a college student, and a proud mother to my son, who is now 2 years old. I was recently invited to a banquet for Foster/Probation Youth in Los Angeles, CA on May 15, 2013. 

I saw this as an opportunity to kill two birds with one stone by being able to empower Foster/Probation Youth (like myself), and show them that things can get better as long as you are willing to work hard to get there and also, as an opportunity to introduce my son to his greatgrandparents, grandparents, cousins, uncles, and aunts for the first time.

Although this is a great opportunity for myself and my family, I do not have the money to fly from Honolulu to LA and back on my own. I have faced many challenges in my life that I have been trying to work through such as being a foster youth, and being homeless multiple times in my youth and as a young adult, but my son has given me the motivation to push through all odds, but I am still not in a position where I can afford a trip like this (especially since I would also have to pay full price for my son's ticket as well, and this is an expensive time of year to fly). 

It would mean so much to me and my family if we could have this opportunity to reunite after all these years, and that they can finally meet the new addition.

The money that is donated will go to my son's and my airfare, transportation to and from the airport, and other costs that might occur.
