Reunite me with my son

For the past four years my partner and I have had an ocean seperating us. We met online, while we were both writing for the same publishing platform. As we became close, I knew she was the one for me. In time, we developed a relationship and decided that, despite the distance, we would somehow be together. Unfortunately, she had already joined the U.S. Army as a medic so we had some tough times ahead.

Around two years after we met, I was made redundant from my job. Rather than see it as a negative, I decided to start freelance writing to support myself. This meant that I could travel to the U.S. from Belfast and she could come here a few times a year.

Last year we received the great news that my partner was pregnant. The original plan was for her to leave the army and come here to live with me. Due to the process involved, however, by the time her papers were approved it would have been too late in the pregnancy for her to travel. So instead, I traveled there in December of 2012 for the birth of my son.

I am back in Belfast now but I cannot get accomodation due to the fact I have not been working here and do not have a guarantor. The only time off my partner can get is during June. I have managed to raise the money for a deposit and one months rent, however, I need to raise additional funds to get them here and pay advanced rent in lieu of a guarantor.

I have not seen my son since he was born and I'm really missing him. If I do not manage to raise the money I need, I will not see him until my partner leaves the army. So I'm reaching out to all of you, hoping that together we can raise the money that I need.
